  BROADCASTING TO THE PATIENTS,STAFF & VISITORS

  OF BASILDON HOSPITAL

  BHR1287 has been broadcasting to BASILDON UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL for over 30 years and is staffed entirely by volunteers.

 BHR1287 is especially for the patients, staff and visitors

and can be picked up on 1287 AM (1287MW) on a normal radio

or on the Tele - Call bedside entertainment unit T.V.Channel 19.

The Station's Request Collectors visit the wards every day of

the week and get the patients' favourites for the presenters

to play and patients can also ring down to the studio's from

their bedside telephones. Friends and Family can also get

their dedications played to the patients by phoning the station

on 01268 282828 or internal number 3940, we always notify the

patient when they have a dedication to them.

We don't forget the hospital staff,who have their own special

program every Friday afternoon,this programme includes the

"WARD ROUNDS" with dedication to all the staff and patients

of each ward in the hospital.

 "A BIG THANK YOU" goes to all individuals, companies and the hospital staff, that have supported us

over the past 30 years.
