On the 9th.September 07, BHR1287 Presenter..

  Wayne Connor compaired & provided music ..for the....

  "CANVEY ISLAND CHARITY FUN RUN"

There were 73 entrants for the 5k & 106 entrants for the 10k events..each runner paid a £6 entrance fee, which was donated to an opted charity.

 The run was organised by the "Canvey Rotary Club"..to find out more go to :- http://www.canveyrotary.org.uk/

  Wayne spoke to "Anita" from "Little Havens Hospice" after the events & she told Wayne she estimated it would make approx. £1000 for charities for the day.

 Wayne told us at BHR the weather was nice & mild, not to hot for the runners. He also said he had a great day & anytime asked ,would be pleased compair the event again on behalf of BHR1287 !

The final total of monies raised for charity on the "Fun Run" was :-

  £2486 with a further

  £250 expected from the Castle Point Garbage Gobbler.

All money will be donated at the "OYSTERFLEET HOTEL" on 16/10/07
